Jill Culiner was raised in Toronto but has lived in many places: Germany, France, Greece, Turkey, England, Holland, Hungary. She now divides her time between Canada and France.
Author, professional photographer, adventurer and keen observer of the world around her wherever she may be, Culiner has worked on a variety of projects from Radio France broadcast programs to an exhibition at the Summer 2004 Jewish Film Festival in Budapest.
Her previous book, award-winning Finding Home: In the Footsteps of the Jewish Fusgeyers, was published in 2004 by Sumach Press.
